Raul Alberto Contreras was born and raised in Washington D.C., where an early love of cinema and storytelling took root. He later attended Northern Michigan University, graduating in 1992 with a BFA in Film-making.
Over a career spanning decades, Raul has worked as an Animator, Actor, Set Builder, Producer, and Production Designer across independent studios nationwide, eventually becoming a Local 44 Union Set Decorator in Los Angeles.
He has Production Designed six feature films, directed four short films, and completed twelve screenplays. His debut novel, Alice's Bloody Adventures in Wonderland, channels all of that visual storytelling instinct into ink and page.
