Raul Contreras
Writer, Producer, Director.

Raul Contreras was born and raised in Washington D.C. and later moved to Detroit, Michigan. He has a BFA in Filmmaking from Northern Michigan University. Raul has worked as an Animator for Grace and Wild studios, a set builder/carpenter for various independent production studios and helped build from scratch a motion control camera system for Illuminations (an effects studio). Raul Co-wrote and Produced a 35mm feature titled “Happy Hour” shot in Detroit, which is currently seeking distribution.

Presently, Raul lives in North Hollywood, California. He has written several screenplays and is in Pre-Production on his directorial debut “Die Hippie, Die!” scheduled to be filmed in California this fall.
